Stacked Paper Freebie!

 I actually moved on in The Studio's contest. Yea! More of the this delightful kit has been made. I had a very busy weekend and the contest demanded non-solid papers for this one, I did make a few, but only the patterned and designed ones are in this paper pack. The contest rules ask for a stacked paper to give away. So your freebie is in The Studio's contest gallery. Contest Time

It is contest time at The Studio again. I have entered every year for many cycles. Most of the submission, like in past years are Autumn centered. I decided to stay away from traditional themes - Let us see where that leads. I have been watching the Girls Who Code movement and want to honor them and all the famous women in computer programming.

Contest Time at the Studio!

Contest time at The Studio means lots of free kits for you!! They assigned us all the same palette, so you can collect a huge matching kit. This round was just the papers. You can see mine here and pick them up in the Studio Gallery. I have chosen to focus on fall and the difficulty in either warming up or getting to like the new temperature by showing sweaters, leaves and  hot chocolate.

Round 2

For this round, they had us try some Art Journaling. I have rarely used any kit so labeled, but it was fun putting together.

I only got 4 votes, but many more nice comments and probably hundreds of downloads. This either means that I am not a good designer or don't have many friends. Either one does not bode well for this type of contest or for my career as a designer.

The Studio - Member Mega Kit

And it is September again. I have been participating in the designer contest at The Studio since before they changed the name. This year they will have a shorten contest so I am keeping busy with the challenges. One of the challenges is a member mega kit with a music theme. So hope over and pick up my mini and the hosts. New Kit and Freebie: Misty Morn

Finally tucked away, Misty Morning is in the store.
Misty Morning is a kit I created during a contest some years ago. I am using the Revived title, (thanks to ....) to indicated that each piece has been improved in some way. I have also added many new items.
You can get this kit for free this month in the Quick Page challenge over at Ivy Scraps. Get the kit, make and share a quickpage, and do a bit of advertising for me ... the kit is yours!
Personally, I don't use quickpages. I think it stifles the creativity. But for a fast way to create a page - they are a good idea. But after you have used them once, would you use them again? I stole an idea and this is the first time I have tried it as a designer. I have created a stack and a cluster which can be combined quickly in many, many different ways. I want to see if it is true. So I am giving away the Misty Morning stack and cluster shown here. Anyone who posts 2 different layouts in my KatLen Kreations Gallery at Ivy Scraps will be entered in a contest for one free kit of their choosing from my KatLen Kreations Ivy Scraps store (CU not included).

Dream Vacation: Family Reunion

The final round at The Studio was to create a kit about a dream vacation.
It seems that lately, when the family gets together it is for a funeral. I would love to see my mom's remaining sibling and all my cousins to get together just to have fun and make memories.
I have many more pieces left on the drawing board, but also neglected other stuff. So hop over and pick up this kit at The Studio -
