I have not been with the best of health and have finally squeaked out a mini-kit for the color challenge at Ivy Scraps. Great colors in this month's challenge and many wonderful mini-kits have been created. Pick up mine and the others at the Ivy Scraps web site.

Round 2

For this round, they had us try some Art Journaling. I have rarely used any kit so labeled, but it was fun putting together.

I only got 4 votes, but many more nice comments and probably hundreds of downloads. This either means that I am not a good designer or don't have many friends. Either one does not bode well for this type of contest or for my career as a designer.

MiniPixels for Sept

Back to School

Facebook has been hopping with back to school photos from the moms and back to school advice for the teachers. I have dug up a blast from the past - some lunch notes that you can print, add a note and slip in your child's lunch or back pack.
These are from a kit called Returning to Learning which I still do not have in the store ... I am going to have to create multiple parts.

Religious Freedom LDS Blog Train

One of the basic tenets of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is religious tolerance as stated in the 11th Article of Faith written almost 200 years ago: We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.

So being an American and being a Mormon, makes me doubly grateful for the religious freedom I enjoy.


I put together this little kit on the spur of the moments and it contains some files from a color challenge last year as well as some new things. June is for Father's Day

Time again for the LDS Blog Train - This month's focus is Dads!
I have prepared a small card kit. The backs are 8"x 5" so that they will fit nicely on half a letter size piece of paper or they can be resized down to a smaller card.
My part contains 3 backs, 3 frames, 4 ribbons, a button and 2 word art.

Since I have you here - I just put my DAD album back into the store. You can create a cute little album for a Father's Day present with either #1 DAD or heart my DAD. It is designed to print on letter sized paper and fold. You can print it as is and use your physical paper stash and photos to create the album or design it all digitally before you print. I would love to see your final projects.

Last month I was the focus of Gloria's generosity withe the kit named after me.  Once a month or bi-monthly she creates a kit in honor of one of our design, CT or membership family. We are not talking Mini kits here. We all know that Gloria is from Texas and they do everything BIG there! Her kits are no exception and into each one goes a lot of thought about the person she is shining the spotlight on that month. Gloria's heart is as big as the state of Texas and the design team at Ivy Scraps decided it was time to give some of that love right back to her.Thank you for being such an awesome friend and inspiration to us all! LDS Blog Train

Twice a year, the entire Mormon church watches the leadership give inspired messages. This April's Conference was full of talks that will keep me spiritual for the next six months. The messages are available here.

The LDS blog train has chosen general conference for a theme. I have been in a bit of a funk so I have packed what I had done at the beginning of the months to present to you all.

Choo Choo - Love Train

Time for the LDS Blog Train again!! This month's theme is a song title "Love is Spoken Here" - it mixes well with Valentine's day. I worked with the teal and pink (yea - me with pink - I punched through it). I played a bit with filters and created a lovely flower like page quite by surprise ... sharing it with you today.
